A Round Table on "Developing Sustainable and Inclusive Urban Infrastructure - An Introductory Handbook based on Indo-US FIRE(D) Experiences" was organized by MoUD, NIUA and FIRE(D) on April 29, 2010.

Mr. A.K. Mehta, Joint Secretary (UD), MoUD and Ms Elizabeth Warfield, Dy. Mission Director USAID India made the key remarks. Presentations were made on the context, Urban Planning, Municipal Financial Viability, Project Development and Infrastructure Finance. Mr. N. Bhattacharjee, WSP, Mr. Charles Billand, FIRE Project and Dr. Meera Mehta, CEPT gave reflections on the Project over the last 16 years. Mr. O.P. Mathur, NIPFP presented a Way Forward.

Release of Compendium Series II: FIRE studies
