| A World Bank team consisting of Prof. Roy Bahl, Advisor, Ms. Geeta Sethi, Ms. Elisa Muzzini and Ms. Shruti Garga visited NIUA on June 23, 2009. It held discussions with Prof. Chetan Vaidya, Dr. Mukesh Mathur, Prof. Usha Raghupathi and Prof. Vijay Dhar on urban issues in India and ongoing research activities in the institute. |

| The team was keenly interested in status of urban reforms in different states and PEARL program under JnNURM. The team will provide inputs to Bank’s strategy of supporting urban development in India. |
