Inauguration of Urban Poverty Reduction Centre at NIUA

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has agreed to support a Urban Poverty Reduction Centre at NIUA. Dr. H.S.Anand, Secretary, MoHUPA inaugurated this centre at the Institute on 24th April 2008.
Dr. Anand stated this small beginning made by NIUA will lead to its major role in our urban poverty alleviation program in the country. Dr. R. V. Rama Rao, Member, Technical Advisory Group (TAG) JNNURM, Mr. Alkesh Sharma, National Project Coordinator (NSUP) and others were present at this occasion.
