Prof. Chetan Vaidya, Director participated in 9th World Congress of METROPOLIS 2008 in Sydney from 22-25 October. The Congress's overall theme was 'Connecting Cities' highlighting the increasing importance of cities, as principal hubs of international interaction.

It was an important event to bring essential concerns and provide concrete answers to the challenges of the day in terms of transport, urbanism, public health, environment, development and governance.

Prof. Vaidya delivered a presentation on Creative Financing of Urban Infrastructure in India through Market based financing and PPP options.
