Presentation by Prof. Chetan Vaidya to Officials from Afghanistan on Sub-National Governance

 The UNDP is providing support to develop Afghan capacity to install a strong and forward-looking system of Sub-National governance. The Society for Development Studies (SDS), is developing and managing a training programme in on Sub-National Governance for Afghanistan officials.

 

Prof. Chetan Vaidya, Director NIUA made a presentation to the officials from Afghanistan on Model Municipal Law and Financing of Urban Infrastructure in India on November 20, 2008. Members of the delegation included two Mayors.  The officials had an interesting discussion with Prof. Vaidya on urban decentralization in India.
