Exhibition on Good Urban Governance for Making Cities Work 'Municipalika
2009', from 29-31 January 2009 at Mumbai.
He delivered a presentation on Urban Reforms: JNNURM in the first technical session on Urban Reform Agenda. The session was chaired by Dr M. Ramachandran, Secretary, MoUD, GOI. Other presenters were Ms S. Aprana, Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation, Mr I.P. Gautam, Commissioner, Ahemadabad Municipal Corporation and Dr. Sneha Palnitker, Director, AIILSG, Mumbai in this technical session.
The conference which was structured in eleven sessions spread over three days provided a unique opportunity for sharing of information and best practices on urban governance, sound financial management, creating safer and secure cities for all. It was well attended by senior central and state government officials, Mayors, Chairpersons, Commissioners, representatives from international agencies and experts in the field.
