Periodicals

• Urban India (bi-annual)

Rs. 500/US$60 (per annum); Rs. 250/US$30 (per issue)

The immense growth in the urban population of the country has given rise to a number of social, political, economic, and legal problems requiring continuous systematic research and scientific debate. A leading Journal on urban development and related matters, this periodical is an important media for promoting research and disseminating the research findings and experiences of experts in the area. The Journal contains contributions from leading researchers, policy makers and practitioners, which could be of immense value in guiding urban policy in India.

Over the years the Journal has published articles on wide ranging urban issues; for details see the Cummulative Index of Urban India.

• Urban File (bi-annual)

Rs400/US$30 (per annum); Rs. 200/US$15 (per issue)

Despite its voluminous and rapid growth, information on urban development and related areas remains widely scattered, thereby constraining its use by researchers and policy makers. This bi-annual bibliography on the subject, based on a scan of articles published in eighty national and international journals, would be of immense value to users of such information. For easy reference the material has been suitably classified. A separate author, subject, area and periodical index is also provided.

• Urban News (monthly)

Rs. 4000/US$35 (per annum); Rs. 350/US$30 (per issue)

The newspapers are a valuable source of information on the current thinking, issues, problems and related matters in the field of urban affairs. However, by its very nature the information provided by them is inaccessible in a ready-to-use compact form, thereby limiting its accessibility and use by researchers, practitioners and policy-makers. This monthly compilation of newspaper clippings on the subject, drawn from nine dailies, is an attempt to overcome this constraint and will prove to be of immense value to those working in the area. To facilitate easy reference the information is presented under various heads; a separate index of newspapers referred and the subjects and areas covered is also provided.
