Paramita Datta Dey

Masters in Geography, Post-Graduate in Planning.

Paramita Datta Dey is a Senior Research Officer at the institute. She has a Masters degree in Geography from the Delhi School of Economics (Delhi University) and a Post- Graduate degree in Planning with specialization in Environmental Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi. She has over nine years experience in the field of urban development policy analysis, urban and environmental management, natural resource management and environmental policy issues. Prior to NIUA, she has worked in the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Centre for Science & Environment, Centre for Policy Research and consulting firms. She has contributed in projects / programmes funded by bilateral and multilateral agencies e.g., CIDA, World Bank etc. She has also participated in research in long-term national level urbanization and environmental policy.
